So I got a little heated the other day. I was little upset and I wanted to share my thoughts with you. It’s really about doing the bare minimum. We are running an AD for USMC Prep on Facebook. It is a short, really intense, motivating video about going through Boot Camp, And it ends with, "Are you prepared?!" The video has done well and driven a lot of traffic to the USMC prep program. It hasn’t done as well as I would like because I still get DM’s on Instagram and Facebook asking what they should do for Boot Camp.... SMH I always respond, "We literally wrote a book about it."
Through advertising you get more VIS than my normal followers and subscribers. I get people outside of my circle seeing the content, which is what I want, but with that comes criticism. It frustrates me when I see criticism that is just blatantly lazy. It’s just blatantly telling individuals to do the bare minimum.
I’m going to show you some of these stupid comments:
“ Don’t do this you’re just wasting your money, I’ve seen the most unfit people go through and make it fine.”
“ Just P.T. yourself for an hour, three times a day you’ll be good.”
Because that’s thought out strength and conditioning programming and that’s how athletes do it by the way.
“ Just run everyday future devil twice a day, if you can sprinting also helps.”
“ It’s literally easy as fuck! Just do whatever you’re told when you’re told. The physical aspect is easy too, I’ve seen fat mofos graduate so you are good.”
“ I like the idea but it’s just unnecessary. 75% of us that already went through maxed out on all of that without the special training.”
So does everyone need a program to go to Boot Camp? Absolutely not! OK if you want to go into the military and just make it through, then don’t buy it. But if you want to do something more, If you want to be something more then you have to apply yourself and maybe it’s not the program but it’s the mentality of learning and training and making yourself better.
If you were going through life doing the bare minimum, that is what you’re going to get in return. You’re going to get the bare minimum return of life and that’s not the way I live my life and that’s not the way that the people I surround myself with live their lives. The bare minimum is just that, minimum. I want to maximize my return on everything. I want to maximize my return on business. I want to maximize the return on relationships. I want to maximize my return on physical fitness. What do I have to do to get the most out of everything can.
We have the systematic problem in this generation to where we’re not applying ourselves and we’re trying to figure out tricks and tips and whatever we can do to trick the system. To do the bare minimum that is disgusting to me. unfortunately, a lot of those people are actual marines.
I was in the Marine Corps for 12 years and I saw those types of Marines. They are the bare minimum type of Marines. So if you’re joining any job or joining any branch of service and that’s your mentality then that’s what you’re going to get.
I have a drill instructors reaching out to me saying that they have recruits in recruit training right now that can’t even meet the initial standards. When it comes final PFT they’re having guys having a hard time. We had one or two of these guys when I went to basic training in 2000. Now it’s starting to be the majority and that’s not from my word that’s from drill instructors and senior drill instructor’s commenting and telling hey this is a problem.
I have recruiters contacting wanting to purchase the book for their pulleys because they can’t get guys to lose weight. They can’t get guys to meet the initial standards because they’ve been doing the bare minimum to just exist. They're overeating, there or not training, and they’re not being active and then all of the sudden they want to join the military and they have a problem. We are trying to solve that problem.
We’re trying to help individuals but doing the bare minimum is never the answer. So the biggest question is what do you want out-out of your life? Do you want the bare minimum? If you do then that’s what you’re going to get. If you don’t, if you want to go Recon, if you want to go be a Marine Raider, you want to be a marine, you want to do anything at your very best; this is the program for you.
You want to be the most successful businessman or you want to be an Olympic skier. Guess what you’re going to have to do? You’re going to have to apply yourself and you’re gonna have to max of every potential that Your body and brain has. So it’s all up to you and it’s all what you want out of your life. If you do the bare minimum, you’re going to get the bare minimum. You deserve absolutely everything that you work for and you’re entitled to nothing.
